Poor Caleb...

Caleb will enjoy going with grandpa camping when he is a little be older.
This photo is of the ground cover in my front flower bed, I took a pic, because it was so pretty, I love that everything outside is so green and the flowers are in bloom...

This past week has been a bit challenging, Caleb got sick on Monday evening, he had stomach problems all day Tuesday, and fever all day Wednesday, and he has been sick since then, he keeps dumping everything, I took him into the doctor on Friday, the doctor told me that he had rota virus, and that he will have dumping for four to six weeks and will be sick for about six to eight more days, I feel so bad for him. Every time that he eats of drinks anything he cries and tells me that his stomach hurts. I will be glad when he is feeling better! I makes me sad to see him this way. Nathaniel had rota virus when he was about the same age, but they had to hospitalize him for a few days, I am glad that Caleb hasn't had to be in the hospital!

Nathaniel went with his Grandpa camping for awhile, Grandpa said they would be gone about three to four weeks, but I don't know if it will really last that long, probably about a week or so, Caleb is really missing his big brother, every morning he runs into his room and looks everywhere for Nathaniel, but unable to find him he gets a little bit said and says "Where Nano?" and gives you a look that is so sad. Nano is his way of saying Nathaniel's name. I have really missed him also, I am not used to not having him here with us, it is very unusual to have him gone for a long period of time, although it is good for him to spend some time with Grandpa and go fishing and camping. I love him and know that he will learn a lot while he is camping, and I am sure he will treasure this time with his grandpa. It brings back memories of me spending time up in the mountains with my family and my grandparents, I always loved it , we had a lot of good times, I have of love for the outdoors and camping thanks to my parents who took us camping every summer, and my grandparents who were always there with us. Family camping continues, although not all of the family can't be there since they live so far away, I'm sure that will change when schooling is over. I love all of my family, thanks for all of the wonderful times we have had with each other, have a great week.

Nathaniel's Day...

On Wednesday the 28Th Nathaniel will celebrate his ninth birthday, we decided to spend today how he would like too. First he wanted to go to the store and pick out his birthday gift, he decided that he wanted a bicycle. So he went through all of the bikes and picked out a bike that is red and black, he also wanted a pump for the tires, (good idea) then he wanted to go to lunch, his choice was to go to Red Robin, we went to eat, it was fun they brought a mud pie out for his birthday, he enjoyed it. Then back home we came, finally the rain slowed down, Nathaniel got his helmet on and rode around for awhile, Caleb wasn't very happy, he thought that Nathaniel should share his bike, Nathaniel stoped riding and let Caleb sit up on the bike, it made Caleb's day. Happy Birthday Nathaniel, We Love You So Very Much! May your day be full of fun and excitement!!!!!!

Nine years ago was one of the most treasurable moments in my life, I gave birth to a two pound 15 oz little boy, Nathaniel Deloy Pratt, after many problems the doctor told us he had to be taken Cesarean, I wasn't ready but Nathaniel was, he was born twelve weeks early. We were very blessed, he was born early but didn't have any major problems, just that his lungs weren't quiet developed, he had to be on a ventilator for about two weeks, and was in the hospital for seven weeks. I remember after the c-section I wasn't able to see Nathaniel, because they had to rush him in to the NICU and stabilize him. The first memory of seeing Nathaniel was a photo, I wasn't able to see him in person for about a day, it was an emotional experience, not knowing if I would see him alive, the doctors told us that he had a 50% chance of survival. When I was able to see him it was one of the sweetest, most unforgettable moments in my life, I was a mom, I felt like the luckiest person alive, the lord blessed me with the most perfect little boy ever. Although we knew that the next few weeks would be scary, they were all worth every moment! When we decided to name him Nathaniel we didn' t know the meaning of the name, I looked up the names meaning, it meant "Gift from God" He was definitely a gift from god. Nathaniel has such a sweet spirit, a little more full of life then most children, I believe that is why he thrived as a preemie, he is one of the best gifts in my life, I am so happy that he choose me as his mother! Happy Birthday Nathaniel I love you!!!!

Y.W. Y.M. Combined activity....

Last night we went down to the Salt Lake Cemetery, for our activity, the Young Women and Young Men wanted to go and do a scavenger hunt. James and I went last week, we walked the cemetery and found all of the Prophets and Apostles that were buried there, and wrote important dates and names, that the Y.W. Y.M. would have to find. It was a lot of fun seeing who is buried there. I didn't realize that about half of the prophets of the church are buried there. I didn't know that the Cemetery was eight or more cemeteries in one, it was so big that it has street names. The activity turned out great, everyone had fun. If you get a chance and would like to go and see some fun history, take a trip to the Salt Lake Cemetery, they have maps that will tour you through each of the Prophets, Apostles and prominent people.

THANKFUL SUNDAY...

Today has been a good day, I am so Thankful for Sunday's, being able to go to church and feel of the spirit. Sunday's are usually crazy busy days but today has been a bit quiet, not a usual thing, let me explain a typical Sunday. Wake up time 7am, mom rushes to shower and be ready before the boys wake up (if I'm lucky) try to get something to eat, wake boys, and feed them, by this time it is almost 8am, Caleb just wants to play, so eating is a game, throwing food everywhere, (Nathaniel laughing a Caleb, which makes him throw more.) Next I'm pushing Nathaniel to go and shower, and of course he drags his feet, finally he gets in the shower, I remind him please be quick, but to a nine year old quick isn't very quick, Nathaniel's singing in the shower, after about 15-20Min's , I have to go in and turn the shower off and say time to get out, he moans a little. In the mean time I am getting Caleb ready, but he is just waking up and really doesn't want to get dressed, he decides to run behind the couch, I can't grab him, he just laughs and gives me a big smile, after five Min's. he comes out, we get him dressed and by this time it is almost 9am, time to be at church. We rush out to the car, and make it to church just in time. Sacrament meeting is the funnest, Caleb is really learning to talk, all durning the meeting he is yelling to his cousins, Josh and Parker. Then Nathaniel starts thinking that he needs make sure Caleb is being quiet, well Caleb doesn't think that is cool, so as Nathaniel turns around, and bends over Caleb bites Nathaniel's back (I couldn't believe it, but at the same time I was laughing, which I shouldn't have!) Nathaniel is crying and laughing at the same time, and I am trying to explain that we shouldn't bite. Then the person in front of us gives Caleb a toy to play with, (a rubber duckie ) Caleb also has learned to throw, so two seconds after he gets the toy he throws it, the man five rows behind us gets whacked in the head. I hear a bunch of people chuckling, and I am so embarrassed, I grab the duck and apologize. Finally Sacrament is over, we made it through barely. lol Now it is time to go to Nursery, let me add, Caleb doesn't like nursery, but we keep trying to get him to adjust, we walk in and the first thing he does is cling to me, he won't let me go, so we head to Y.W. where Caleb actually sits on my lap and just listens. By the end of church he is calm and ready for a nap. Yeah... We come home and rest for a few minutes, then lunch and off to meetings. I love Sundays they are so eventful. On occasion it is relaxing and I am able to go away with feeling the spirit, but with a toddler who is very active, more times than not it is full of excitement!! I have learned to laugh a lot! I love my boys so much they make life adventurous.
I know that I always say how much I love my family, they mean the world to me. Yesterday I was very sick, my mom happened to be here because she had worked the night before, she stayed here and helped me all day, I was in bed most of the day, she took care my boys, and me. I'm thankful for my mom, and all that she does for me, she is such an example to me and I Love her so very much. Thank you mom!!!!!
I am thankful for James, he is the love of my life, although he doesn't feel good most days, he doesn't complain, he keeps going, he is a good father and he loves our boys so much.
I am thankful for the blue skies and warmer weather, the grass is green, the trees are beautiful, the birds are chirping, everything has come alive.
I am thankful for Laughter, I believe that if we laugh more life would be less stressful, try to enjoy the little things because you never know what tomorrow will bring, make each moment special!
