Where do I begin, the past year has been a bit of a blur. I keep feeling like I need to start this journal again, so that I have a history of my families life!!! I'm afraid if I don't do better I am going to forget all of the important things that have been going on in our lives!
We have made a few changes in our lives, we are trying to sale our home in Layton, and we are living in my parents home until we are able to sale and find a new home. We are enjoying being in Brigham, it is a beautiful, peaceful area. We have been blessed to meet, and be surrounded by some amazing families! The boys are loving it here and are adjusting to the move. We love it here and are so grateful that my parents are letting us stay in their home. We just pray thatthe Pratt Family will be able to sale our home soon!!!
The past week we have been spending with family, my sister Amy, her husband Munich and her adorable family moved from Arlington Virginia, to Eagle Mountain ,Utah a couple months ago. They moved into a beautiful home. My sister Julie and her family came here for a small vacation from Oregon this past week, and my Brother Adam, Chantel and his adorable family just moved here this weekend from Buffalo NY . He just finished his residency in Pediatric Dentistry, I am so proud of him!!! So this past week has been full of fun adventures!!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE the fact that my family has started to move closer, it has been years since we have all been together, only my parents who are on a mission and my older brother Ryan, Jen and his family weren't with us!!! Will be exciting to have them back around here in the future!!! we have been having a great time catching up, and laughing our heads off..... The cousins had a blast playing and getting to know each other!! I think that there were eight adults and 13 kids in one home.. A little caotic at times but tons of fun!!!!!! I love you all and feel so blessed to have wonderful family!!!

My thoughts keep racing, I wanted to share a few things that I am so thankful for in my life!!!! Christmas time is such a wonderful time of the year, I love the feeling Christmas brings, more love and gratitude for everything we have!! Christmas time brings so many fun memories, ones that are being made and ones that have past. Pondering on my childhood memories of christmas's past. My parents made christmas time a time of fun, service, love, singing carols, spending time as a family, remembering our savior, and a feeling of love and joy, that we should share thoughtout the years to come.. One of the first traditions that I love remembering is when we would go and pick out the Christmas tree, bring it home, put it up,and decorate the tree and the home.. I always looked forward to that time of year, to see the twinkleing lights, the ornaments, the star on top of the tree, the smell of fresh pine, I loved setting up the little manger scene with Christ in the center, where all could see.. I remember mom sitting at the piano playing christmas songs and all of us singing along, I can still hear the words as we sang. Another thing we would do, the night before christmas we would help mom make treats and put them on plates and take them to our neighbors, sometimes we would carol as we went.
Christmas Eve we would sit as a family and read the story from the scriptures of Christs birth, and talk about the true meaning of Christmas, then we would read the Littlest Angel, and of course we would get to open one gift before we went to bed! Next was one of the hardest things to do as a child, trying to go to sleep, with anticipation of Santa coming and what he would leave for us, not an easy thing to do.. The next morning we were up and going at the crack of dawn or earlier LOL. My parents made Christmas a wonderful time of year, and helped us to see of the importance of giving and remembering to let Christ be a part of everything... Thanks mom and dad for your love and all you have done for us over the years, and all you still do, what an Example you are to us, we love you!!! We have continued many of these traditions in our small family. This year we had a lovely Christmas, mom and dad, Ryan and Jen and their family came over and we had dinner and spent time visiting. The kids had a great time playing the wii and just visiting!! Thanks for spending time with us. I have to say that is the one of the best parts of Christmas is being able to be with the ones that we love! I miss spending time with all of my family, my Christmas wish would have to be that sometime soon we will live closer to each other and be able to be together during the holidays!!! I love you all so very much and Hope that you all had a wonderful Christmas.. May we all enjoy the year to come, and be thankful for all that we have in our lives!!

The Past few months I have been such a slacker when it comes to updating my blog.. So here are a few of the many things that have been going on in our lives.. Holidays have come and gone, school is half over for the year, and Everyday life keeps us all on the go..

James, Caleb and I went to Walmart the other day to go shopping. We always have a great time at the store, especially with the kids!! LOL This particular day we went Caleb kept wanting me to tickle him, he was having fun and he would laugh and laugh, and when I would finish he would say "again, again!!" So I would continue to tickle him. Most people around me would just laugh and smile when they heard him laughing. We were heading up to the check out stand to yes check out, Caleb wanted me to tickle him again so I began tickling him, he started to laugh and kinda squeal a little, I turned my head and there was an older man probably in his seventies he gave me a look that would kill and mouthed "STOP IT!!" I couldn't believe that he was so rude, its not like Caleb was screaming uncontrolably!! I was stunned to say the least!! I guess that I just have to laugh!!! People are so Funny!!!

So lately I have been really wanting to change my hair! I haven't felt like I look that part of a hair dresser, I have felt so frumpy!!! Well about a week ago, I finally talked myself into cutting my hair off., with the help of my sister Chantel.. This year we planned a little (two week adventure) to Astoria Oregon, to stay with my sister Julie and her family... We took off two days after I returned from girls camp, and began our 14 hour drive. I was certain that the boys would be complaining the whole way there, (14 hours is a very long long drive!) but to my surprise they were very pleasant and we had a ton of fun just watching the different scenery and playing some typical cars games. It is so amazing to watch the change in scenery, going from desert to green lush. We arrived at Julie's home Sunday evening, the boys were glad to be out of the car and playing with Megan, Kaylee, and Elizabeth, and I was glad to be able to move around and stretch my legs!!!! Julie and Scott's home is adorable, the view from outside is amazing, overlooking the Columbia River.
During our stay in Oregon we went to the beach a few times, saw a beautiful light house, went on a trolley ride, went to Seaside, Warrenton, Portland, Mt. Saint Helens, and the Japanese Gardens, along with many other fun adventures!!! Thanks Julie and Scott we had an amazing time and we Love you so much! The time went by way to fast and wish we could have stayed longer!!

Girls Camp 2009

pictures show all........ This year for girls camp we went to Lake Lyman.. We had an amazing time. I love going to the mountains, something that is so peaceful about getting away from the world!!! No phones, time to relax... Thanks to everyone who put so much time and effort into putting girls camp together, the girls loved it and I believe that the felt the spirit that was there!!!

Fourth of July and Caleb's 3rd Birthday...

This past week has been a lot of fun!! My Sister Amy and
her family have been out here visiting for the past couple weeks
I love it when the family is around, I miss having my brother and sisters
living closer. Amy and Munich thanks for coming and spending some time
with us, we had a ton of fun!! We love you all so very much... Milan is such a cute
little lady and baby Sofia what can I say but what a little angel girl!!!

We also Celebrated Caleb's 3rd birthday on July 3rd, I can't believe that he
is already three years old, Caleb is so much fun, he always makes me laugh
he is such a good little boy!! I love You Caleb Happy Happy Birthday...

We are missing Nathaniel, he is spending a few weeks at his cousins home, it
has been hard not having him here, Caleb has missed him a ton and so do I!! I love you
Nathaniel and hope that you are having a great time!!!!

Presents, Presents!!

Time goes by so fast, Ten years has come and gone in the blink of an eye!! May 28Th was Nathaniel birthday, on Thursday we had a little family party, I had Nathaniel believing that, that was all we were going to do this year, little did he know that we had a surprise party planned for him on Friday!!! On Friday, the kids showed up to the party while Nathaniel was out with dad getting a few things that I needed, when he came in the house and was telling me that dad got us tickets to go and see the movie "Up". Nathaniel walked into the front room and all of the kids jumped out and screamed "Surprise!!!!" You should have seen his eyes, they just about popped out of his head and his mouth dropped to the ground. I had to laugh, it was great! Nathaniel looked at me and said "is this for me?" We all had a fun night, we grilled pizza's, had a water fight, ate cake and ice cream, and they watched a movie. Happy Birthday Nathaniel!!!!!!!!

Thinking back 10 years ago brings back a flood of memories, I remember being so sick, and not feeling the baby (Nathaniel) move. I called my mom and she said that I should go hospital and be check, so I went over to labor and delivery, they put monitors on me and did a few test. Dr. Durbin came in to talk to me and she told me that I was going into premature labor and that she wanted to give me something to try to stop the labor. My thoughts were racing what if I lose the baby, I was only about 28 weeks pregnant, that was way to early to be have the baby! They made me lay on my side and they monitored me, and ran some more tests. The medicine made me feel so sick, but my contractions felt like they were getting stronger. Later that night the Doctor came back into me and told me that the medicine wasn't working and she wanted to try one more medicine, she said in most cases the mixture of both usually stopped any labor. Between the two medicines my body and mind felt so terrible. The next morning they wanted to do a ultra sound and bio-scan to determine if the baby was doing okay, they explained that the bio scan scored the baby on movement, growth, and the amount of amniotic fluid, their was a score of 8 things they watched for. When they were done with the test they looked concerned, they told me they would let my doctor see the results and left. Within ten minutes, my Doctor was in the room, the look on her face was very concerned. She told me that the baby was not doing well and neither was I, she said that they scored the bio-scan at a one, and that we needed to do an emergency C-Section, she also went on to tell me that there was about a fifty percent chance that the baby would be okay. My head was swimming and everything felt like a whorl wind! During the C-Section they found that my placenta was abrupting, they had not noticed it in any of the ultra sounds. Nathaniel was born on May 28Th at 11 am weighing 2lbs and 13 oz. he was 13 inches long. After he was born they rushed him into the NICU and put him on a ventilator and started a pic line. Everything happened so fast that it didn't feel real. Nathaniel was a strong willed little boy, he had fight to survive, he was in the NICU for seven weeks, he did very well, he didn't have any major complications, he just needed to grow and develop a little longer. I love you Nathaniel and Hope that you know how much you mean to me! Happy Happy Birthday.....

It seems that I don't get on here very often anymore, life is always so crazy!! I really need to be better about updating things going on in our lives..

I wanted to write a small tribute to my mother, she is celebrating her birthday today, and she is turning the big 60!! Where do I begin, mom you are such an amazing women, you are an amazing mother and you are my best friend, I love you so very very much!! Where would I be with out my mom, she is always there for me. I don't know what I would do with out her, she is a great listener, she is a rockin Grandma, she is always willing to help with anyone in need. You are a great example to me in my life, thanks for being my mom.. Happy Birthday!!!!!!!!

Today I went on a field trip with Nathaniel's class, we went down to the Museum, we had a ton of fun, there was so many things to do!!

This was the morning of Mothers Day, My boys surprised me with a dozen roses, a card and some chocolates... I loved it, thank you my sweet boys!!!

We had a fun BBQ on May 9th, we put up the table and ate outside, and enjoyed the warm weather!! Nathaniel was too busy eating, I caught him off guard!

We have decided to plant a garden this year, we got the ground ready and some of the first things that we have planted outside are; Strawberry plants, raspberries and pumpkins. I am so excited, hopefully things will stay alive and grow!! Wish me luck...

We were at Grandma and Grandpa's house and Grandpa was tired of Nathaniel's hair, so he offered him 10$ to cut it off. Well he definitly cut it off, he buzzed it.... You would think that I would be able to cut Nathaniel's hair, I do, do that for a living!!! But Nathaniel doesn't like hair cuts.. I don't think that he will mind me cutting it anymore, Grandpa's clippers pulled his hair. Thanks Grandpa..... I owe you

Spring Is Here!!!!!!!!!!!

Waking up early is wonderful, it is quiet and peaceful in my home. I really do need to go and wake up Nathaniel so he can get ready for school, but I think that I will let him sleep in a bit longer this morning! :) Sometimes you just need a few moments to relax!

I am loving the weather outside it is so beautiful, I think that my body has been really needing to soak up the suns rays, and feel the warmth of a sunny day, not to mention it is wonderful to go out and let the boys play out side! I Love the fresh air and the birds singing, and all the plants when the start coming alive! YEAH!!! Spring is one of my most favorite seasons. Time to get out and start working on the yard to do some landscaping, we need to take down the old fencing and put up some new. We have to be getting this done ASAP!! Caleb is a little wanderer, so the backyard has got to be fenced in! Then I've got to get the tiller and till up the garden spot so that Nathaniel and I can get a garden going this year, I want to have yummy fresh veggies, and Nathaniel needs to do it for his scouts requirement. Spring brings such a fun time of the year. Happy Spring to everyone!

Tonight was Nathaniel's Blue and Gold Dinner for Scouts, we had a blast. The theme for the evening was "Wild Wild West" The boys decorated cakes for a contest, they arrested Lighting Jack, the all got marshmallow guns, and they became honorary deputies for the evening, we had a great time..

These are the cakes that we made, they turned out good. Mr. Cow and Mr. Sheep...

Caleb loves to go into the bathroom and get into lotion, he thinks that it is shampoo.. Last night I was cleaning things up and wasn't pay attention like I should have, and he got a hold of the lotion, he decided that he needed to wash his hair with it.. I heard Nathaniel yell to me to come and see what Caleb was doing in the bathroom. Caleb was up on the counter, looking in the mirror and saying "washa washa washa!" he was having a grand old time. All that I could do was look at him a laugh! This is him showing how proud he was that he was washing his hair.. He even asked me if he was doing a good job.

On a side note, Last night when we were saying our evening prayers, Caleb wanted to say it and he said the funnest thing. "Dear Heavenly Father bless us with marbles." James and I just laughed after the prayer, because of the way he said it. He was probably right though we do need a few more marbles :) LOL

Mr. Bug..

Yesterday was a very fun day for our family. I have made it a tradition to heart attack my boys, and to do something fun for them on Valentines Day! I decided that I would go to Ben Franklin's and get the Hearts cut out, so that they would actually look like hearts. Last year I cut them out by hand and some of them were a little deformed! Friday night after my boys were fast asleep I wrote on all of the hearts fun notes, and stuck them up on the door in their room, on the mirrors in our room and in the bathroom. I got Nathaniel and Caleb a cute stuffed animal and left it on the floor near the hearts.

The next morning I woke up to hear Nathaniel and Caleb squealing at finding the toy and hearts, they both came running in and jumped on me and gave me big hugs and kisses, Caleb was holding his stuffed animal, and looked up at me and said "MOMMY LOOK AT MY BUG, ISN'T IT SO COOOOOL." It was fun to see their reactions, they loved it. I loved it, we had fun playing around yesterday, we made cookies and spent some time with my Grandpa..

My sweet, sweet sister Amy called me last week on my birthday and said " Melissa for your gift Munich and I want to pay to have to go and get your hair cut and colored. " I was so excited, because I do hair, and I usually do my own hair, yes that is right I cut and color it myself. But today was an awesome day for me!! I went today and got my hair done and it was so nice, I got to the salon and walk in , my sister had it planned that the stylist (a friend) would have flowers for me, they were so beautiful. She told me that they were from my sister, I almost started to cry, how sweet, that really made my day, not only did I get pampered and got my hair done but I got flowers too!! I love coming home from getting my hair done and I don't have to fix what they have done... She is one of only two people I like doing my hair. I like my hair to be done a certain way, I know I am too picky!! Probably because I do hair and I know when it isn't right!!

Any way enough of my rambling on and on, Amy and Munich thanks for the wonderful gift, I really needed to be pampered! I love you both so much.

Well I am finally able to get on here and post something... It seems that the past few weeks have been crazy. Time flies by way to fast, I can't believe that this month is almost gone, does anyone else feel that way? Our family is doing good, Nathaniel was able to go skiing with his class this week and had a blast, I wasn't sure that he would enjoy skiing but when he came home from his trip he said "that was sooooooooo fun I want to go again!" I was pleasantly surprised I suppose that I will have to look into getting a pass for him if he is really interested! He has been doing well in school and loves to learn! Caleb is a little monkey boy, he never stops going, running all over the place, jumping off things, climbing everything, I can follow him around from one thing to another, picking up after him. His newest thing to say is "Whats that all about mom?" He is our comic relief in our home.. He has a contagious smile..

James is doing good, he is always working, I love him and so glad that he is here for me!! Things are going okay for me, I've been a little under the weather,but have been crazy busy with family, doing hair and Young Women's. Life never slows down, I've decided that I need to stop and enjoy it before it is gone, and my boys are grown.

Just wanted to post the good news.. My brother Adam and Chantel had their little baby girl today, just a couple of hours ago.. I am so happy for them, I'm sure they are relieved that it came today. What an excellent early Christmas present... I'm not sure what they are naming her, they talked about Phoebe Amelia, but they haven't said for sure.. She weighed in at 7lbs 7oz. and 19.5 inches long.. I am so excited to see her .. Congrats Adam and Chantel. We love you!!!!!

What a slacker I have been the past few weeks, I'm so sorry, life has been so crazy around here!!! Between my family, Young Women's and Business, I haven't had anytime, not to mention everything going on for Christmas.

Merry Christmas to everyone, I can't believe that it is going to be here in just a couple of days, this month has gone by so very very fast, I think that we are finally all ready for Santa to come, I know that my boys are! Caleb has been having fun trying to open all of the gifts, so far he has only had a chance to open one, thank goodness! Nathaniel is just ready to see what Santa will bring him.

It has been snowing off and on for the past few days, and it has been extremely cold, I love the snow but I don't like being cold. It will be nice to have it be a white Christmas. Nathaniel has been such a big helper, each time it snows he volunteers to shovel the driveway and the walks, he is such a lifesaver!! Thanks buddy I love you so much....

Sunday I gave the lesson in Young Women's, it was a great lesson, I think that it was just what I needed to hear. It was about reducing stress in our lives, and prioritizing.. I thought that I would share this article.
Five Ways to Reduce Stress
By Paula J. Lewis
Feeling overwhelmed by life’s challenges? Ask our Father in Heaven for help, and consider these approaches to reducing stress.
Paula J. Lewis, “Five Ways to Reduce Stress,” Liahona, Sept. 2000, 241. Prioritize. If you feel you are trying to do too much, examine what you are doing. Some activities are less important than others and require less time and attention. Decide what is best for you to do, then focus on those priorities. Separate the essential from the nonessential. Essentials include rest, nutritious food, prayer, exercise, Church callings and attendance, and scripture study. Other priorities depend on your own circumstances.
2. Take a break. Another way to relieve stress is to take a break from your normal routine. Such a break could be a half-hour nap, a walk, or a family activity.
3. Ask for help. If you need help from others, ask for it. One overburdened mother prayed for guidance, discussed her feelings with her husband, and then presented her concerns during a family council. The family decided to divide up many of the evening chores. As they worked together, the mother began to feel better and the family grew closer.
In another family, the birth of a disabled baby quickly overwhelmed the parents’ resources. But with the daily help of Relief Society sisters, the parents were able to manage their responsibilities.

5. Do it. There will be times when, through prayer, we realize the best option is just to do what needs to be done. At such times, we need to remember that those who “put their trust in God shall be supported in their trials, and their troubles, and their afflictions” (Alma 36:3).
As we attempt to do what is best, always praying for confirmation, Heavenly Father will help us resolve our concerns. With His help, we can use our time and talents wisely, bring balance into our lives, and find joy in the many tasks before us.

This past week has been so fun, my mom and dad stayed with us Wednesday night, and Thursday, thanks for coming and spending thanksgiving with us.. Grandpa went home Thursday night, but Grandma stayed with us for a couple more nights, because she had to work. Friday morning she didn't have to go to work until later in the day, we got up at 4am and ventured out on a shopping spree, it was a blast, we accomplished a ton! It has been a little while since I have posted anything on here, life has been so crazy, and I just haven't had the time. Hopefully everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving, our family had wonderful Thanksgiving!! James birthday was on Thanksgiving also, so we had a big celebration!!! Mom and Dad came to our house for Thanksgiving, it was fun to have them here with us. It was fun to make dinner with mom, and just spend some time visiting with them. First thing Thursday morning my dad and Nathaniel went to breakfast and shopping, when they got home Nathaniel was beaming from ear to ear, Grandpa bought him a Star Wars Lego toy, and he bought Caleb a Spider Man Bouncy ball, Caleb and Nathaniel loved it!! (Thanks dad, you are the best grandpa, my boys love you so very much!!) They had fun playing with the spider man ball for hours.

Thanksgiving dinner was wonderful, I love the turkey , potatoes, gravy, sweet potatoes, stuffing, squash, and of course the pumpkin pie!!! It's a lot of work cooking and putting it all together but it's soooooooooo worth it!! I love having the turkey left overs for a few days, but I think that the kids are all turkey ed out!! (is that a word??) Well anyway enough about turkey.. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!!!

I love how this turned out, I bought four cork boards, covered them
with some material, and hung them on the wall. I found the cutest
saying about brothers it says "Brother will you.. Build forts, Shoot hoops, Teach
me to skip rocks, tell me stories in the dark, always be my friend.. Then
I found some pictures of
the boys having fun together and hung them on the board.I loved this quote also:
"Life is a Journey.. And you hold the map.."
On the opposite closet door I will be putting a vinyl picture
of the Liahona, and a compass..

I decided that it was time to add some decor to my home, I had fun making curtains for the
kitchen, and making a fun picture board for Nathaniel and Caleb's room.

I was pleasantly surprised at how well they turned out. Yeah!!!! My salon needed some decor on the walls, so I had some sayings printed up in vinyl and applied them to the walls and the mirror, it worked out perfectly! Next I need to get a coat hanger for the wall, some greenery and another mirror. Isn't it fun to make your home beautiful!!

This morning I got up to the sound of something falling to the floor, a big bang!! I ran into the kitchen to find Caleb sitting on the floor with his bag of Halloween candy, he looked up

Grandma gave Caleb some stickers, he thought they were great, the

first thing he did with them was start sticking them all over his face and mine!

This past week has been full of fun, running from one thing to another! Friday was the school Halloween Carnival, we dressed the kids up in their costumes and painted their faces, they looked great! Nathaniel was the reaper and Caleb was a leopard. They had a blast at the carnival, Nathaniel ran around from one thing to another. Caleb just loved watching everyone and was in aw seeing everyone dressed up, he didn't really do many of the games, but he found a balloon sword and had fun playing around with it. My mom came with us and helped out with the kids, while I volunteered. Thanks for helping out, it was nice to spend the day together! I forgot to take my camera so I didn't get any photos, so this week I will take some and get them posted.

Nathaniel, Caleb, and I went to the Corn maze and Pumpkin Patch

on Saturday we had a ton of fun...

Caleb loved the inflatable pumpkin, he didn't want to get out, Nathaniel had

to get him of the pumpkin. Caleb cried and cried.

Nathaniel had fun shooting the corn at the target, he hit the target once, he jumped up and down with excitement...

This Orange and Yellow ramp was supposed to be a mountain, that

the goat could climb, when they make it to the top the people at the bottom

would send food up to feed the goat.. Kind of funny, Caleb got a kick out of it!The goat eating yummy food...

We were sealed in the Manti Temple October 17Th....

Yes I know that just last week I posted that it was my anniversary, it is also our tenth year anniversary tomorrow. James and I were married in Las Vegas 11 year ago on the 7Th of October, and we were sealed for time and all eternity on the 17Th of October in the Manti Temple. What a
truly amazing feeling to be able to look over the altar at the man you will be sealed to for eternity. I remember many emotions going through my mind, that morning.

When we were married in Vegas I knew that it wasn't forever, there was much preparation in going to the temple, but what a

blessing to be able to have those promises, to know that it will be forever if we

do what is right. I love you James, thanks for being my Forever!!

Caleb went with me for a little walk tonight, I had to take something to a neighbor. As we were walking Caleb looked up into the sky and said " Mom look at the MOON BALL, I want to bounce it!" I laughed, and tried to explain that the moon was to far away and way to big to bounce, but he was determined that he was going to grab it, he really wanted to bounce it like a ball... He continued to try to reach into the sky and grab the "moon ball," unable to reach it he came up and said "Mom pick me up and help me reach it peas?" So I grab him and lifted him up into the sky, he reached as far as he could and said, with a sigh " Mom I can't reach the moon ball oh darn!" He makes me laugh so hard, he is always saying the funniest things!!!!

Fast Sunday...

Today was Fast Sunday and that means in Sacrament Meeting we have testimonies meeting, I enjoy listening to everyone share their testimonies, usually I am not one to get up and share mine but I couldn't push away that feeling inside me. I decided that I would try to get Nathaniel to go up and share his testimony, I said "Nathaniel if you go up I will go up?" He replied "No way mom I can't do that!" So I decided that I wouldn't either, and just sat there and continued to listen, but as time grew nearer to being over, once again the spirit whispered get up and share your testimony, I again asked Nathaniel if he would like to go up with me, and again he replied "no thanks." The spirit was so strong, I picked myself up and went up to share my testimony. I sat and waited my turn, to my surprise, Nathaniel walked up a couple minutes later and sat by me. He leaned over and whispered into my ear, "Mom the spirit kept bugging me and it wouldn't leave me alone, so I finally decided I better get up and share my testimony!" I couldn't help but start to cry, how sweet that he listened to that feeling, I love Nathaniel so very much, I am very proud of him. My prayer is that we can all listen to the spirit when it whispers to us, and act on that feeling.

Simple Faith....

Last night after getting the boys ready to go to bed, we all kneeled down and had our family prayer. Just as we finished Caleb said "Wait I want to say prayer!" We all closed our eyes and bowed our heads. (I wasn't sure if he would really say anything or not, in the past he would just nod his head and say amen) To my surprise he started by saying, "Our dear Heabenly Father, thanks for today, bless to sleep good, I love Nathaniel and Daddy and Mommy, grateful for our blessings, AMEN.." How sweet and simple, it's so cool to see them learning. I love my boys, they teach me so many things.

I have been pondering about the wonderful talks we heard this past weekend in conference. The past few months I have been thinking about things in my life that are changing and have changed. President Monson said. "Nothing is as constant as change!" That statement is so true, this week James and I celebrate our 11Th Anniversary, and I have been remembering all the blessings and trials that we have been through in that short period of time. I know that many of you are aware of some of the health problems that both James and I have experienced, I know that we have been so blessed the Lord has never left our side he has been with us each step of the way, and when we couldn't do it our selves he carried us. When I was told that James had Multiple Sclerosis, the first thing that went through my mind was that our life together on this earth would probably be shortened. I thought how unfair,why did this have to happen to us, to him? It has been almost five years since his diagnosis, he has had many days feeling very sick with little energy. We have tried to remain optimistic, he takes Avonex once a week, and two days of the week, he is very ill, the treatment is only 30% effective. We try to look at each day as a blessing, and we are happy that, that day was a good day. I need to treasure each and every moment that we have together. James I love you so very much, you have helped me be a

better person, each day I have with you and my boys, are treasures to me.
I feel so blessed to be a member of the restored Church, and to have leaders and our scriptures to help lead us and teach us. I want all of my family to know how much I love them!!!
Time never stands still it continues to march on, opportunities come and go. What is important and what is not? "Find Joy in the Journey now" There is no tomorrow to remember if we don't do something today. Pres. Monson. I pray each day that, that day will be the best day, I've learned to smile more, and to enjoy the little things.

Your probably wondering what in the world this is a photo of, let me explain,
eleven years ago on October 3rd at 11pm I went on a blind date with James Pratt,

and on October 7Th, just over three days later we were in
Las Vegas at the Chapel of Love getting married. I know you are

probably thinking are you crazy? No not crazy, we just

did things a little faster than most... James and I have been married for

11 years tomorrow, the 7Th of October, it is amazing how fast time flies.

James I love you so much and wanted to tell you what a blessing you
are in my life... You are the love of my life, you make me laugh, and you are
an awesome father. We have been through more than our share of trials, but I feel so blessed to

have you by my side, and I know that the Lord will continue to bless our family. Thanks for the

many adventures we have had, and

look forward to many many more!! I LOVE YOU HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!!

KIDS DO CRAZY THINGS

Thought that I would share what my little Caleb did about a half an hour ago.. Caleb loves to get into my purse and find gum or tic tacs to eat. Caleb found the tic tacs and asked me if he could have some? I said "yes just one though." He said "OKAY OKAY MOM!" Then he looks at me and says "Mommy GET IT OUT! GET IT OUT!" and begins to cry. Not knowing what he was talking about, I asked him "Caleb get what out?" Caleb pointed to his nose and said "TIC TAC IN MY NOSE, IT HURTS!" Yes my son decided to put his tic tac up his nose, I couldn't help but laugh, we tried to get him to sneeze it out, or blow it out, with no luck. I just looked up his nose to see if it had dissolved yet. YEAH, finally a half hour later it's dissolved... I don't think that he will put anything up his nose again!!!

Scooter, bikes, and lawn mowing...

Nathaniel is nine and old enough to want to mow the lawn. Tuesday night

he surprised by mowing the lawn, (with dads supervision)

I came home from some meetings, and he was nearly done. Thanks Nathaniel I love you....

Caleb enjoys being outside running, jumping, scootering, or just anything

that doesn't include sitting down.... Ever since he turned one he has loved

to ride the scooter. These photos and video show him riding a beginners scooter, (it has

three wheels instead of two)

but he is usually riding Nathaniel's big scooter everywhere. I hate to say it but he

rides Nathaniel's scooter better than Nathaniel sometimes. My batteries on my

camera stopped working, just as Caleb decided to go to the top of the driveway and yelled "look mom!!" I was too far away to stop him. All I could do was think crap!! Let me explain our driveway is very very steep, and I have seen more than a few small children try

to fly down it on a bike or scooter and not succeed. They end up with a bloody lip or scrapped up hands and knees.

We have tried to explain to Caleb that he shouldn't ride the scooter down the driveway. Tonight he was a sight to see, he proceeded to ride down the driveway screaming "weeeeeeeeee" just as he is about to dart out into the rode, he turns the scooter on to the sidewalk, looks up at me, smiles and says "Again, Again" so proudly!!! My mouth dropped open with relief and amazement!! Two years old and not an ounce of fear!! Oh boy!!

Fall is one of my favorite seasons of the year, I love the colors of the trees, and the crisp cool feel of the air. We were driving through Logan Canyon this past weekend, and the colors of the trees were so vibrant, it was so beautiful!!!! Fall brings one of the funnest holidays, Halloween!! Halloween is just around the corner, we are still trying to decide what to dress up like. My sister posted some cute photos of her kids from past years, so I decided that I would look through my pics and post a few. Isn't it so fun to see how the have grown....

I know that I have said that I am thankful for my calling in church, but I have to say it again, I am SO THANKFUL FOR BEING IN THE YOUNG WOMENS! My testimony has grown, just in this short six months, in more ways than one! We need to make Christ the center of our lives, "The Savior's invitation is clear and direct, and importantly for us, it is constant: Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden... Take my yoke upon you, for my burden is light"(Matt 11:28-30) The Lord has spoken his peace to us and he encircles us in the arms of his love. If we haven't felt that love for some time, we need to seek to see and feel it as we go about the tasks of daily lives. As we do this we will remember those moments, and they will help us through our difficult times. My favorite scripture is John 14:27 "Peace I give unto you, not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be trouble neither let it be afraid." We need Peace and Strength, if we turn to Christ his arms are always open. I love that when we turn to Christ we are able to feel peace, and can be strenghtened.
I returned home from Church today and decided to read my lesson that I will be giving for next week. I read a story that I would like to share.
“There was a girl in one seminary class who seemed to be helpless and almost hopeless. I tried to encourage her and draw her out; I sensed that she wanted desperately to belong and to do something. But when she was asked to respond, give a prayer, or read a scripture, she would struggle for a while and then start to cry and return to her seat. There was some sympathy on the part of the class for her, but it is also true that there were some students who were often brutal in their comments.
“She almost never combed her hair, she had very poor clothing, and she frequently wore mismatched socks, if she wore any at all. If she arrived for class a little early, the chairs on either side of her would almost invariably be empty. If she got to class late, she could sit by someone because that would be the only seat open.
“I knew enough about her background to understand why she was the way she was. Her mother was a widow with almost no income.
“In that class were the student-body president of the high school and also a girl who had been elected the beauty queen. Besides being very handsome and intelligent students, they were talented otherwise and involved in many activities.
“One day I called the two of them into my office and asked if they would like to perform a miracle. They were interested. I told them some miracles were a little slow in developing, but they were miracles nevertheless. We then talked a little bit about the girl, and I made assignments. The student-body president was to smile and speak to her every time he saw her around school. That was all. He didn’t have to take her on a date; he didn’t have to stop and talk to her; he didn’t have to associate beyond that or single her out—merely the happy, encouraging ‘I think you’re great’ or ‘Hello, how are you today?’
“The beauty queen accepted the assignment of walking with the girl across the road from the high school to the seminary. That was all. She didn’t have to include her in her circle of friends other than to walk to and from the seminary every day. She would simply hurry to catch up with her or slow down to wait for her when they were coming across the street and just talk about whatever she wanted to talk about.
“The two of them went about their tasks quietly but enthusiastically, saying not a word to anyone else. The miracle was not long in coming. One day I knew there was something different about the girl. It took me most of the class period to figure out what it was. And then I saw what it was. She had combed her hair that day. That was an event!
“Over the next month or two the transformation continued. Our beauty queen became friendly and chatty with her during that time. She could never walk with her alone because she had her own friends following her. And so other girls were included in the group, and soon the girl was surrounded for those few minutes each day with the most popular girls at school.
“There are so many interesting details that could be related about the miracle. Our wallflower transformed herself, went to college, found good employment, married in the temple, and those who know her would never believe the ugly duckling of her youth” (Boyd K. Packer, Teach Ye Diligently [Salt Lake City: Deseret Book Co., 1975], pp. 149–50).
After reading this story I stopped to think, am I judgemental of others? How can we make others feel valued and loved? I hope that we can remember this valuable lesson, help others feel they are important and of great worth!!

Nathaniel decided that it looked to scary.. Caleb cried a little but

when he got off he wanted to go again.. When I put this pic up he started

to talk about the dragon. He said, "Mom go again on dragon, weeeeeee!"

This was the first time that Caleb has had a corn dog, I think that he liked it!!

This past weekend Nathaniel, Caleb and I went to grandma and grandpa's house, we decided to stay a couple nights, we went to the Peach Days celebration, the parade and then to the carnival. We had a lot of fun, thanks for a great weekend mom and dad, We Love You!!!!

Yes I know that I just posted a few funny things about Caleb but I had to post one more! I was fast asleep this morning and my little Caleb boy ran into our room, and started patting me on the shoulder, "mom, mommy, wake up peasssss.............MOMMY!" I rolled over and looked at Caleb, and said, " Caleb, sweetie what do you need, Mom is tired, why don't you lay down for a little bit longer?" Caleb replied, "MOMMY YOU NEED TO GET UP, I need a haircut, right now!!" I smiled big and said " Why don't we do it a little bit later?" Caleb said " NO, Peasss I really need a haircut!" He looked at me with his big blue eyes and again said "PEASSSSSSSSS!!" He has me wrapped around his little finger! So I got out of bed, got my smock on, then we went down to the salon, and gave Caleb a haircut. When we were done he was so proud, he looked in the mirror and said "I look good, thanks mommy! I just smiled, he is so cute!!!

Today has been full of many emotions.

I"m thankful for Young Women's, I learn so much from the girls, they never cease to amaze me they are all so smart, and you can see how much they want to learn and do good in their lives!! I just hope and pray that I will be able to teach them as much as they teach me.

I'm thankful for two boys who know how to make their mom laugh! Caleb kept me laughing all day long, it was one thing after another, I went into my room for a brief moment, Caleb was in the front room playing with the blocks, I heard what sounded like Caleb calling for help. I listen again and heard, "Help Me Mommy!!" I ran in the the front room, I couldn't see him, I turned to go into the kitchen and there to my surprise was Caleb in the fridge, I just started to laugh, he had gotten a stool and climbed up into the fridge to get himself a piece of lunch meat, he looked at me with his big blue eyes and said "umm good mommy, help me down!" So I hurried and got my camera and snapped a pic. I'd like to say that this was the only thing to happen today, but it continues, after I got him out of the fridge, I tried to explain to him (the best I could to a two year old) that he shouldn't be climbing into the fridge, I knew that it was probably pointless, but I had try. I again went into my room to do something, and was gone only a minute or two, and I hear what sounded like water pouring onto the ground, so again I run into the front room, and there Caleb stands with the vanilla creamer (which I had just bought the night before for peaches and cream) in one hand and all around his lips were white. He again looks at me and with those big blues eyes he just smiles and says "yummy mommy!" He must of thought that it was milk, and I guess he decided to help himself, he drank most of it and dumped a little on the carpet, I wasn't sure if I would laugh or cry, so I decided to laugh. I took the container away and cleaned the mess up, again I tried to explain to him that he shouldn't be in the fridge, "ask mommy if you want something," he looks at me and nods and say "okay mom" Well three hours have gone by with out any thing to funny happening, until about two minutes ago, Caleb is sitting down watching me type, he starts saying "color yeahhh" I turn around and he has a black permanent marker, and he has colored all over his face, oh boy!! I guess he will have to let this one wear off, he kind of looks like he has war paint on his face. I think that I have forgotten how much fun toddlers are, it has only been seven years since Nathaniel was Caleb's age. I am beginning to think that everyday is going to be as eventful and today. Smiles and laughter will get me through it, I hope!!

Nathaniel's First day of Fourth Grade..

On Monday Nathaniel started Fourth grade, I can't believe that

he is in fourth grade that is crazy! It just seems like yesterday he was in

kindergarten. He was so excited to go back to school,

this year we are in a new school, our boundaries changed

this is only the second year of the school, it is so nice to

walk into a building where everything is clean and

functional. I think that Nathaniel will like the school, his

teacher seems very nice!

Painting

The past couple of days I have been painting the boys room, it turned out great. We are getting new carpet soon, so before we get the carpet we had to paint. The room is still a bit bare but it is getting better, carpet and some more decor it will be awesome. I'm proud of myself, can you tell.. I got a great deal on the comforter sets, normally 60 dollars, I got them for 12.99, the curtains

were the same, 55.00 normally, I paid 12.00.

Sorry Chantel I am going to use you idea of the "Thankful Sunday.? I've been thinking a lot about life and the things that are important, so here is a small list of the things that I am so Thankful for.....

1. For my loving family, a husband that is always putting up with me and my silly ideas, not to mention my O.C.D tendencies, he is always there for me, he helps remind me that I need to smile and laugh more, he knows just what I need! Thanks I love you!!! For my two boys; Nathaniel helps me out so much, he is growing up so fast I can't believe that he is going to be in fourth grade. He loves his little brother Caleb and they have so much fun playing together, Thanks Nathaniel for being my big helper, you have a sweet spirit and you try so hard at everything you do!!! Caleb is just over two years old, time is going way to fast I am not ready to see my little baby grow up, but it is happening he isn't a baby he is a toddler, it is funny when Nathaniel was Caleb's age he didn't want anything to do with a toilet, it seemed I had to push him to use the toilet! Caleb is already wanting to use the toilet, the past couple weeks he has been taking his diaper off and running to the toilet to go potty, you would think that the toilet would be a bit big for a two year old, but not Caleb he climbs up and does his thing. Amazing to think he may be done with diapers before to long ! He is a love, he is always up to something, he loves to sing, dance, read, play the piano, and draw. Both my boys teach me so much and I love them sooooo much!

2. I am thankful for summer to come and thankful to see it go, school starts tomorrow and I look forward to another year of school and learning. Nathaniel can't wait to go to school tomorrow, he already has his things ready for the morning. He informed me that he wants to ride the bus to school, he doesn't need me to take him on the first day, he knows where he is going because we went and toured the school and found his class and his teacher. I will admit that it made me a bit sad. It will be fun for him to ride the bus. Bus Ride, New School, New faces, it will be an exciting day!

3. While Nathaniel is in school I will have some time to start painting the house and fixing things that need fixing, this summer has been crazy and I haven't had time to do much improvments around the house. Nathaniel and Caleb's room is the first project, new carpet and new paint. Wish me luck, hopefully Caleb will have fun helping me!

4. I'm thankful for the gospel in my life and being able to go to church each week, it is nice to feel the spirit, and to learn. I love serving in the Young Womens, they teach me so much.

5. I'm thankful for my life and all that I have!!!!

Caleb loves to take photos, when ever he finds my camera down where he can

reach it he starts snapping pics. As you can see he is screaming

because I took the camera away... The other two he took himself. I think

that maybe I should get him a camera.. lol

I was in the middle of my hair appointment, when Caleb comes

up to me very proud, "MOMMY MOMMY come see, I draw, I draw!!"

He grabbed my hand and walked me into the guest room and said "Pretty huh?"

My reaction was "WOW", I started to laugh and said "yes it is beautiful, but we

don't draw on the walls", Caleb says "I know Mom, I know!" with the biggest grin

GirlsCamp at Lake Lyman..

Girls Camp was this past week, it was such a great experience.

On Tuesday we began our adventure with thirteen young women!

Uinta's here we come! The camp we went to was called Lake Lyman,

when we arrived the view was breath taking. The cabins were small (smaller

then a bed room)there were bunks stacked four high, and

we were all in one cabin! Needless to say our nights were sleepless,

the girls had way too much energy, I think that they were all

on a sugar high!

Girls camp was amazing, it was so fun to get to know all of the

young women, and fun to see them grow spiritually in such

a short time. The theme of our camp was BOOT CAMP, which

stands for Building Our Own Testimony! The leaders based

everything around being at Boot Camp, we wore dog tags and camo.

The testimony meeting that we had was the last night of our camping,

it was so spiritual, all of the girls bore there testimonies, Wow was an

experience, we started with thankamonies, then switched to testimonies.

Each or the girls spirits were illuminating!!! One of the biggest reasons I loved

Girls Camp so much it all of the fun things we did and testimony

meeting, I loved feeling the spirit. The mountains are so peaceful and makes

you feel closer to our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. We had so much fun

I feel so blessed to be apart of the Young Women!

Well I'm back and it's time to get back in the grove of things, I missed my boys

so much and Love them!!

Family Vacation....

Family vacations are so much fun, our family went on a much needed
vacation, we headed down south on Sunday the 27th of July. First off we

went to Grandma Bessie's home and visited with her for the day and spent

the night. It was fun to visit with her, I love my Grandma, she is such a

strong women. The next morning we headed to St. George to James Mom's

home, we went to the Jacob Hamblin home and went on a tour, then to a water area for the boys

t0 play, and then to the St. George temple, we had a great time.

We stayed the night with Mom (grandma) the next morning we headed to

Zion's National Park, we went on the shuttle and saw all the sights, we were

going to go on a couple hikes, but we decided to for go the hikes, due

to the extreme hot weather, we went to the theater and saw the

"Treasure of the Gods" the boys enjoyed that!!! The theater was so

big it felt as though your in the movie! Mom thanks so much for letting

us stay with you and going to Zion's with us! We had a ton of fun we

love you! Next it was off to Cedar City, we stayed at the Days Inn,

the first night was eventful, we didn't check into the room until 10pm

which was a bit late, and I was so excited to find out they put us in the

top floor, I told them we had children, well I didn't think to much about it,

until about 11 pm we get a call from the front desk, " Yes this is the front

desk, we just received a complaint from the room below you that

you are to noisy!" I was a little perplexed! We weren't being loud

but then I realized that Caleb had been running back and forth, he

was so happy to be free from the car seat! I called back the front desk

and asked if we could change rooms, they told us in the morning they

would move us, so the rest of the night I had to worry that we were

going to receive another phone call, if we sneezed or had to get up to

go to the bathroom. :) The following morning we went to my Brother

Ryan's home and then went to their family cabin up Cedar Mountains,

it was at Navajo lake, it was so beautiful there, it would be fun to go

again!! The kids enjoyed spending time with each other. Thanks Ryan

and Jen! That evening we took the kids to the Green show, it is

fun entertainment before they begin the Shakespearean plays. Caleb

loved the singing and dancing, he was clapping and dancing..

Swimming is so relaxing, after the Green Show we went swimming,

at the pool, the boys loved playing in the water. Thursday morning we

we on our way home, wishing that it didn't have to end, we stopped

cove fort and went on a tour, Nathaniel loved it, we learned lots of

interesting facts about the fort! Vacations come and go too fast, I'm so

glad we were able to spend some time as a family!

Monday Grandma, Chantel and the kids came down to visit and, play we had tons of fun!! I was so excited to have family down for the day! We cut their hair, played on the trampoline, played on the swing set and the kids had fun getting each other wet, (Nathaniel wasn't to happy, but he finally got over it!)

Saturday....Family Fun

Saturday Nathaniel, Caleb and I went to grandma and grandpa's home to visit. Adam, Chantel, Allison, and Luke have come from Buffalo NY, they arrived on Friday. It is so good to see them, it has been way too long since we have see each other. I sure have missed having my brothers and sisters living near by!!! I thought that I took a photo of Chantel but I didn't I'm sorry, I will have to take some more of the family when we see them again. Thanks for a great day yesterday!!

4th of July.....

For the forth of July we went to Greenville Utah. We had a great time, barbeque's at Shon's home and fireworks, we had a parade down Greenville main street, and they had an awesome fireworks display last night, I think that most of Beaver Utah came. Let me tell you that Greenville is a very small town, maybe 50-100 people, Beaver is about 5 miles east of Greenville. When I say all of Beaver was there imagine every street filled with cars and fields filled with cars. It reminded me of the movie "field of dreams" if you build it they will come, well in this case it was "if you light it they will come!" In that movie at the end you see a stream of cars lined up for miles, that was what this was like! We all had a ton of fun. Thanks everyone!!!

For Caleb's Birthday today he got a Piano, he absolutely loves it, he is so cute, he loves to sing and dance. When he opened the gift his eyes just about popped out! He is in heaven, music and being outside, are his favorite things to do...

Wow, I can't believe that it has been two years today. My Cuddle bug Caleb turns two year old, we are so blessed to have Caleb be a part of our family, the past two years have been full of excitement, he is such a love, he loves life and all that it has to offer. We hope that you have a very Happy Birthday!!!

Saturday Adventure....

Yesterday morning around 7am our YW group went on a hike up Adams Canyon. It was a lot of fun. I work out everyday for about an hour, I thought that I would be able to do the hike no problem, well let me tell you my legs are so sore, I guess that I'm not used to using the muscles I used walking up the hills. This photo is a cool view of the valley, as we were coming down the mountain, just thought that I would share..

Summer Days...

Nathaniel and Caleb love to be outside playing, this morning we were out riding around. Nathaniel helped Caleb ride his bicycle, Caleb loved it. Caleb has a little scooter that he rides around on, he is fearless. Most of you all know that we have a very steep drive way, Caleb loves to go zooming down it, one of these times he is going to crash and burn, I keep trying to explain it

to him, but you know a one almost two year old, they have a mind of their own! Last night we went to Pack meeting for Cub Scouts, they had water games and relay races, it was a lot of fun, Caleb especially loved the water balloon's, he was sneaky he acted like he was going to just play with the balloon, and when you least expected he through it right at you.

Fun Family Day..

We ate at the Mayan Restaurant, it was amazing, they had a show
while you ate. There were waterfalls and small pool , they
told about the Mayan people, they did a rain dance, while they did the rain dance
the lights started flashing like a thunder and lighting storm. Divers dove of the
the rocks. Caleb and Nathaniel were very entertained. If you have a chance
take your kids, just to watch the show. The photo didn't turn out to well, it was
dark and every time I would take the photo the lights would flash.

Thursday we went to Salt Lake, to the Gateway we walked around

and went through the old train depot, at the Gateway. This was a photo of the

stain glass windows in the hall. It was beautiful. After walking around the gateway
we rode the tracks. Caleb loved this, it was his first time riding the train. Every time
we see or hear a train now he yells "train choo choo"

We walked around temple Square. The temple grounds are so peaceful.

The day was a great day, we probably walked about eight to ten miles, the weather was perfect, about 80 degrees, and a slight breeze.

Youth Conference..

This past weekend we went to Manti Utah with Youth in our ward, we had a great time we went to the Manti Pageant, swimming, and we camped out in my brother-in-law yard. This is a photo of the temple just before the Pageant and just after it finished, it is so beautiful. The Manti Temple is one of my favorite temples.

Nathaniel is home again...

Nathaniel has been gone for ten days with his grandpa, camping and fishing, up in the fish lake area. He really wasn't sure that he wanted to go for so long, but he had a great time. My dad told us that he was like a "coo-coo clock every hour on the hour, reminding him that he was very homesick and he wanted to come home. When he got home on Saturday he had some tales to tell. First he told us of how many fish he caught, four to be exact, then he continued to tell us the size of them, they seemed to grow in leaps and bounds each one he told us about, the first being small and by the end it was the size of a whale. :) He also informed us that he cooked and ate them. On to the next tale, he saw big foot at least three times, and Annie who lived with the wolves? I was laughing about big foot but was clueless to Annie. Nathaniel went on to tell me that she was a young girl who was raised by the wolves and she still roams the mountains, she has white hair, if you are watching close at night, sitting around the campfire you might see her rushing by. He was certain that he saw her, I think that my dad must of been telling him stories around the campfire. Next he told us that it snowed and snowed, at least a foot, so they were stuck in the trailer for some time, can you believe that it was snowing in June, crazy weather! He thought that not having something to do was so boring, I thought man I wish that I was there just relaxing, to be young again and enjoy those moments. How often can we say we don't have anything to do? All in all he had a great time camping with grandpa, I am so glad that he is able to go and do things with his grandparents, and thanks to them that they are willing to spend time with the grand kids. Thanks dad, although he reminded you every hour that he was home sick, I know that he will treasure the time that he spent with you.

Your probably wondering why I am putting a photo of mom laying on the bed, I had to show you the shirt that she was wearing, and tell you what my little boy Caleb did, he was playing with grandma on the bed, he was tickling her, he asked what was on her shirt, she told him that they were Poka dots, he got this look on his face and he proceeded to poke her belly, and he says "Poka Dots" it was quiet comical.

Caleb loved the water at the reception center, he sat on the bench for a long time just watching the waterfalls, and he kept saying "Wow Pretty" I think that he wanted to play in the water, but it made him happy just to sit and relax. When we said that it was time to go he threw a fit, but as we were leaving he said "fun." The photo of Caleb laying on the bed was cute, he had brought the book to daddy and asked him "daddy please read me a book" with those puppy dog eyes, how could you resist.

Poor Caleb...

Caleb will enjoy going with grandpa camping when he is a little be older.
This photo is of the ground cover in my front flower bed, I took a pic, because it was so pretty, I love that everything outside is so green and the flowers are in bloom...

This past week has been a bit challenging, Caleb got sick on Monday evening, he had stomach problems all day Tuesday, and fever all day Wednesday, and he has been sick since then, he keeps dumping everything, I took him into the doctor on Friday, the doctor told me that he had rota virus, and that he will have dumping for four to six weeks and will be sick for about six to eight more days, I feel so bad for him. Every time that he eats of drinks anything he cries and tells me that his stomach hurts. I will be glad when he is feeling better! I makes me sad to see him this way. Nathaniel had rota virus when he was about the same age, but they had to hospitalize him for a few days, I am glad that Caleb hasn't had to be in the hospital!

Nathaniel went with his Grandpa camping for awhile, Grandpa said they would be gone about three to four weeks, but I don't know if it will really last that long, probably about a week or so, Caleb is really missing his big brother, every morning he runs into his room and looks everywhere for Nathaniel, but unable to find him he gets a little bit said and says "Where Nano?" and gives you a look that is so sad. Nano is his way of saying Nathaniel's name. I have really missed him also, I am not used to not having him here with us, it is very unusual to have him gone for a long period of time, although it is good for him to spend some time with Grandpa and go fishing and camping. I love him and know that he will learn a lot while he is camping, and I am sure he will treasure this time with his grandpa. It brings back memories of me spending time up in the mountains with my family and my grandparents, I always loved it , we had a lot of good times, I have of love for the outdoors and camping thanks to my parents who took us camping every summer, and my grandparents who were always there with us. Family camping continues, although not all of the family can't be there since they live so far away, I'm sure that will change when schooling is over. I love all of my family, thanks for all of the wonderful times we have had with each other, have a great week.

Nathaniel's Day...

On Wednesday the 28Th Nathaniel will celebrate his ninth birthday, we decided to spend today how he would like too. First he wanted to go to the store and pick out his birthday gift, he decided that he wanted a bicycle. So he went through all of the bikes and picked out a bike that is red and black, he also wanted a pump for the tires, (good idea) then he wanted to go to lunch, his choice was to go to Red Robin, we went to eat, it was fun they brought a mud pie out for his birthday, he enjoyed it. Then back home we came, finally the rain slowed down, Nathaniel got his helmet on and rode around for awhile, Caleb wasn't very happy, he thought that Nathaniel should share his bike, Nathaniel stoped riding and let Caleb sit up on the bike, it made Caleb's day. Happy Birthday Nathaniel, We Love You So Very Much! May your day be full of fun and excitement!!!!!!

Nine years ago was one of the most treasurable moments in my life, I gave birth to a two pound 15 oz little boy, Nathaniel Deloy Pratt, after many problems the doctor told us he had to be taken Cesarean, I wasn't ready but Nathaniel was, he was born twelve weeks early. We were very blessed, he was born early but didn't have any major problems, just that his lungs weren't quiet developed, he had to be on a ventilator for about two weeks, and was in the hospital for seven weeks. I remember after the c-section I wasn't able to see Nathaniel, because they had to rush him in to the NICU and stabilize him. The first memory of seeing Nathaniel was a photo, I wasn't able to see him in person for about a day, it was an emotional experience, not knowing if I would see him alive, the doctors told us that he had a 50% chance of survival. When I was able to see him it was one of the sweetest, most unforgettable moments in my life, I was a mom, I felt like the luckiest person alive, the lord blessed me with the most perfect little boy ever. Although we knew that the next few weeks would be scary, they were all worth every moment! When we decided to name him Nathaniel we didn' t know the meaning of the name, I looked up the names meaning, it meant "Gift from God" He was definitely a gift from god. Nathaniel has such a sweet spirit, a little more full of life then most children, I believe that is why he thrived as a preemie, he is one of the best gifts in my life, I am so happy that he choose me as his mother! Happy Birthday Nathaniel I love you!!!!
